Find out what Jove Club is Really About - Join us for our First Jove Adventure Weekend in the Brecon Beacons!

Put your London fitness training to the test and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Brecon Beacons. A favourite place for Jove Club promises an exhilarating blend of adventure, camaraderie, and natural splendour.

Date: 28 - 30th March 2025
Location: Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales

Event Details and Highlights:

Hiking and Exploration:
Discover the stunning landscapes of the Brecon Beacons as we hike some of the most scenic routes in the park. From panoramic views atop Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, to the serene beauty of hidden valleys and cascading waterfalls, this adventure will leave you in awe.

Guided Routes:
Your experienced guide will lead you through well-planned routes tailored to various fitness levels, ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a beginner, this trip will work for you. We’ll never be able to guarantee routes ahead of time as it’s always weather dependent, but expect long and arduous days with a lot of elevation.

Genuine Connections:
The best aspect of any trip is the opportunity to develop connections with fellow Jove members!

Cost:

  • £295 - as we’re so excited for our first weekend trip, it will be available for £150

What’s Included:

  • Two full days of hikes guided by a qualified UK Mountain Leader

  • For the keen runners, there might also be an opportunity for a Sunday morning run before we take to the mountains

  • Accommodation at YHA Brecon

  • Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday

  • Saturday evening meal (minus drinks) at TBC

  • Chance to learn new outdoor skills under the supervision of an expert guide

Where to meet:

  • YHA Brecon Beacons Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8NH

How to get there:

It’s a relatively straight forward journey along the M4 westbound and onto the A470 northwards all the way to the accommodation. As most members will be leaving from London, we would recommend car sharing you if you can.

There will be space for 3 with Freddie for an extra £15-£30 per person (depending on numbers).

What to Bring:

Hiking Gear:

  • Boots or suitable approach shoes

  • Two pairs of walking socks (minimum)
