ADVENTURE FAQS

  • In short - no. Anyone can join our trips and for some, they just want to come along to the occasional weekend.

    Members do benefit from discounts and early bird access though so if you’re thinking of doing multiple trips, you’ll quickly make your membership fee back.

  • Weekends - typically we’ll stay in a hostel in a beautiful outdoor area. Generally it’s arrive Friday night, a full of activity on Saturday and Sunday then head home late afternoon. We’ll almost always be teaching you something (navigation, climbing, safety, using gear etc.).

    Friday and Saturday evenings will generally involve a pub for some food and a few drinks!

    Longer trips - TBC! So far, we’ve only done in Scotland which has involved a mix of serious adventure activities (wild camping, hiking, scrambling, trail running) with some site seeing, plenty of social and great food.

  • All over!

    Since our first one in March 2025, we’ve stayed in the UK with Scotland being our favourite adventure area.

    As we roll into our second year of existence, we’re looking at trips to Austria, Mallorca, The Dolomites, Slovenia and more.

    We’ll always maintain a steady stream of UK focussed ones as it’s the simplest way to get exploring.

  • Being fit really helps and makes everything easier which is why we put so much emphasis on fitness.

    That being said we want to help people get more out of life, therefore, most of our trips are beginner friendly.

    We do and will certainly do more challenging adventure trips as we grow (think various mountain challenges, multi-day expeditions etc.) which will be more testing.

  • If you do unfortunately need to cancel a trip - see our terms for refund below:

    • Trips 3 days or less - please provide written notice 14 days prior to the Jove Adventure start date.

    • For adventures longer than 3 days - we’d need 30 days written notice prior to the adventure start date.

  • It depends on the trip. If we’re doing something technical, e.g. climbing, we’ll be able provide ropes, safety gear etc.

    What we can’t provide are personal items which we’ll always list out on each trip.

  • The simple answer is yes!

    We had our first kayaking adventure in Scotland and have partnered with Pole To Pole for exclusive ‘Fat Biking’ trips to Sweden.

    Our founder’s speciality is trail running, mountaineering and climbing. As we grow however, we’ll look to include all sorts of different options.

  • Yes absolutely!

    Unless the trip is specifically designed to teach you something e.g. ‘Learn to Lead’, then any training we may offer is optional. You can absolutely come along and just enjoy the ride!

FITNESS FAQS

  • You have 90 days to use the sessions otherwise they expire.

  • They’re structured like a membership. You pay for your first month upfront and then be billed on the same day each month going forward. You can cancel anytime with 30 days written notice.

  • Yes. Any programmes we give you (‘The Jove Club Programme’ or a specific training plan) will use TrainHeroic.

    For our bespoke 1:1 coaching and Jove Performance, you’ll get access to TrainingPeaks as part of the package.

  • We’re officially registered to train in Battersea Park and so that’s where the fitness sessions will take place.

    The run club also takes place in Battersea Park but look out for special sessions in different parts of London and surrounding areas.

  • It’s up to you! We always recommend something performance related - aesthetics will come in time so long as you eat correctly.

    If you’re totally new to running/training - it might just be your first 5km or maybe hiking your first mountain.

    If you’re unsure, we’ll help you make the right choice :)

  • For anything bespoke, you’ll get constant updated guidance on what you should prioritise.

    For others following the Jove Programme or coming to weekly sessions, we’ll give you a steer as much as possible.

  • At Jove Club, we’re all about pushing limits and helping you take your skills to the next level, whether you’re running, climbing, or tackling new adventures.

    For runners, we can offer advanced coaching and tailored training programmes that go beyond the basics – from structured intervals and strength training to endurance-building for mountain races or ultra-marathons. Our Jove Fitness sessions are designed with runners in mind and aim to build resilience to ensure you’re ready for tough terrain and long-distance challenges, with expert coaches who understand the demands of serious runners.

    For climbers, we focus on improving both your technique (through organised coaching sessions) and physical strength through specialised training that targets climbing-specific muscles. Our fitness sessions incorporate mobility, strength and conditioning work to help you climb smarter and stronger, reducing the risk of injury and increasing your performance on the rock or wall.

    Plus, our adventure trips, such as multi-day hiking and climbing expeditions, give you the chance to challenge yourself in real-world environments with like-minded people who are just as passionate about pushing boundaries as you are.

    With Jove Club, you’ll get:

    • Advanced training plans and expert coaching

    • Specialised strength and conditioning sessions for climbing and running

    • Access to unique adventure trips and events to take your skills into new settings

    • A team of other committed athletes to share knowledge and motivation

    Whether you want to improve your personal best, take on a new challenge, or simply train smarter, Jove Club will provide the tools, support, and environment you need to reach your goals.

  • Yes, absolutely! You can still attend fitness sessions without being a Jove Club member, but you will pay the non-member rate for each session. Becoming a member provides access to discounted prices and exclusive perks, so it’s a great way to save if you plan to come regularly.

  • We understand that life can be unpredictable! If you can’t make it to a session, please let us know as soon as possible. We offer a 24-hour cancellation policy for fitness sessions. If you cancel within 24 hours of the session, we may not be able to refund you.

CLUB FAQS

  • Any adult human being!

    Oh and dogs… any dogs are welcome.

  • Jove (pronounced Jo-vee…) is inspired by a combination of important ideas; joint adventure - we’re on a journey together both literally and metaphorically;  jovial - Jove Club should be a fun group to be a member of and where real friendships are forged. Jove was also the Latin name for the Roman god, Jupiter - god of the sky.

  • It’s easy to get siloed and get stuck in a rut with the same routines - the same boring gym session, the same pub for post work drinks, repetitive weekends in London; doing different activities ensures we expand our horizons and connect with new people.

    Through Jove Club, you can be exposed to a range of activities, all of which are fun and rewarding for different reasons. It’s far more fulfilling to be able to run with the runners, climb with the climbers and cycle with the cyclists!

  • The socials will vary and we encourage members to attend as often as they are able. They could range from playing games over a beer and a chat to throwing a rugby ball around on a sunny day! 

    As we grow, we’ll partner up with companies to do bigger events.

  • We’ve set it up so that club membership allows you to participate in as much as you like.

    If you’re London based, we’d suggest getting involved with at least one or two sessions per week (perhaps a fitness related session + a climb).

    Adventure trips are the best thing about Jove Club so we’d definitely recommend coming along to one of those!

  • This is the highlight of Jove Club. Trips will focus on being outdoors and seeing beautiful places. They could range from hiking and running trips in remote parts of Scotland, to rock climbing or kayaking and more. We’ll also embark on physical challenge events which could be anything from The Three Peaks to marathons.  

    The overall aim of Jove Adventure is to share experiences and foster teamwork in challenging, but fun situations. There’s no better time to put the world to rights than on a long hike or around a campsite.  

  • Jove Run + Jove Fitness. These activities operate in Battersea Park initially but as memberships grow and if there’s demand, we’ll quickly expand to other parts of London.

    Jove Climb. We use VauxWall East but once we start opening other areas, we can make use of other climbing walls.

    Jove Social. Variety of locations across London! Look out for specific details. 

    Jove Adventure. Jove Adventure trips will range in type and duration so please keep an eye out on our events page. Once we have greater scale, we’ll take on international challenges and trips.

  • At Jove Club, our long-term vision is to build a vibrant team of adventurers who are passionate about pushing their boundaries, improving their fitness, and making the most of their free time. We aim to expand our range of trips and events, from accessible weekend hikes to more challenging multi-day expeditions, across the UK and beyond. We’ll also continue to enhance our fitness offerings, with more specialised coaching and training programmes tailored to help you achieve your outdoor goals.

  • No problem! You’re welcome to pause or cancel anytime.

  • Yes! We encourage you to bring a friend along to experience our free run club, our fitness sessions and events. If they’re not a member, they’ll pay the non-member rate, but it’s a great way to introduce someone to the benefits of Jove Club.

  • Most of our members want to take part in climbing related adventures, therefore it makes sense to train in London.

    Besides, climbing is much more accessible than you think and is a great way to socialise.
