Challenge: Jove Club Welsh 3000s

  • Dates: Friday 5 June - Sunday 7 June 2026

  • Location: Eryri, North Wales

  • Duration: 2 days, 2 nights

  • Level: Challenging - hill walking and Grade 1 scrambling experience is essential.

This is a tough mountain challenge that demands exceptional fitness and mental fortitude. Only people with previous mountain experience and endurance will be able to join. While we provide expert guidance and support, you must be capable of handling sustained intense effort across technical terrain in potentially challenging Welsh weather conditions.

From the rugged summit of Snowdon to the imposing Glyder range and the mighty Carneddau, this challenge represents a serious test of mountain endurance in Wales. Over 24 intense hours, you'll attempt to conquer all 15 peaks over 3,000 feet in Eryri. That's approximately 45km of challenging terrain with over 3,200m of elevation gain (not including the walk to the top of Snowdon), making this one of Britain's most prestigious mountain challenges.

With experienced Mountain Leaders guiding your journey from comfortable basecamp to towering summits, you're not just climbing mountains - you're joining an elite group of adventurers who've mastered Wales' highest peaks.

Why Join This Challenge?

This is your chance to put your mountain skills and fitness to the test. Forget Hyrox and parkruns - this is a serious test of endurance in the elements that will likely push you to new limits.

Completing a challenge like this will give you a new sense of confidence in mountain environments.

More than the challenge aspect, you’ll forge real bonds with people through shared adversity and get to see the true beauty of Snowdonia!

‘Doing the Welsh 3000s with Jove Club was an awesome experience! It was so well organised and great to experience with other people.’ - Vito

‘The July '25 Welsh 3000s experience was a highlight of my year and typical for what I've come to expect from Jove Club: a challenge and an adventure, but achievable with Freddie's leadership style which adjusts to the circumstances and skills of the group and focuses on enjoying the great outdoors. And with a Jove outing you can expect a fun and welcoming crew!’ - Sally
