Who can join?

The route will be 5 miles (8km) over approximately 60 minutes, run at a conversational pace with regular stops to regroup and enjoy the surroundings. If you can run 5km comfortably at any pace, you'll be well-suited for this adventure.

What's included and what are the details?

  • Professional trail guide and running coach

  • Route planning and safety briefing

Cost: Included with Jove Club membership

Meeting point: The Rose & Crown Pub

Timings:

  • Meet at 8:45am

  • Run starts at 9:00am

  • Run finishes at 10:00am - people can stay for coffee or breakfast

  • Finish around 11.30am - 12:00pm (including brunch)

Getting there:

  • Tube/Train: District Line to Wimbledon station, then a short bus ride or 15-minute walk

  • Bus: 93 or 493 to Wimbledon Common

  • Parking available at the Common car park

What to bring:

Essential gear:

  • Trail running shoes (road shoes are fine if dry - ask us if unsure)

  • Weather-appropriate running clothes

  • Small running backpack or belt (optional)

  • Water bottle (make sure you arrive well hydrated so you can avoid carrying a bottle for the run - your trail leader will carry spare)

  • Light snacks for afterwards (given this is a short and gentle run, make sure you’ve eaten something beforehand to avoid the need to carry snacks with you)

  • Phone for emergencies - so long as you can stow it away during the run as you need your hands free for balance

Recommended extras:

  • Waterproof jacket (depending on weather)

  • Change of clothes

  • Cash for any extra café purchases

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Small towel

Weather Policy: We run in all weather conditions except severe storms or if the path is too icy.
