About Jove Club’s Founder - Freddie Sankey

I was a Royal Marine until I left the military in 2017 to pursue a financial services career in London. As fun city living can be, I quickly got bored of the same nights out, the tedious weekends, the repetitive gym routines, the usual work night drinking spots… I yearned for the aspects of military life I loved the most; the array of different activities and adventures on offer, along with the sense of camaraderie and deep bonds forged with my fellow Marines.

Since moving to London, I’ve done my best to recreate some of these experiences around my city life by maximising what I can achieve outside of work during the week and at weekends. I’m exceptionally lucky to have friends that expose me to new adventures constantly and are always keen to do more with their time than just go to the pub. I credit the Royal Marines for giving me the confidence to become comfortable with the unknown along with the understanding of how to keep myself mentally and physically ready for new challenges and inspire others to do the same.

I know that you don’t have to be an elite athlete to embrace adventure or new challenges.

I know it’s hard to research new things to do and understand what’s possible.

I know it’s often hard to get people in your normal sphere of friends and family to join you.

I know it’s hard to make new and genuine friends.

I know it’s daunting trying new things…

I know Jove Club can inspire and make it easier for every man to get more from their daily grind and most importantly, enjoy unforgettable and fulfilling experiences with some of their best friends new and old.
